Mr. Wageesh Mishra

Dr. Wageesh Mishra is an Associate Professor in the Department of Sun & Solar System (GC 1) at the Indian Institute of Astrophysics (IIA), Bengaluru. He earned his Ph.D. in Physics and completed post-doctoral research at the Max Planck Institute for Solar System Research in Germany, the University of Science and Technology of China, and George Mason University in the USA. His research focuses on the kinematic and thermodynamic evolution of Coronal Mass Ejections (CMEs), solar wind dynamics, and magnetohydrodynamic shocks. As a key member of the Aditya-L1 solar mission science team, he works on predicting CME arrival times at Earth and studying space weather phenomena impacting geospace technology.
