Prof. Narayan Banerjee

Prof. Narayan Banerjee is an eminent theoretical physicist and cosmologist, currently serving as an Emeritus Professor at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Kolkata. He completed his Ph.D. in Physics from Jadavpur University in 1986 and has held academic positions at Jadavpur University and IISER Kolkata. His work focuses on gravitation and cosmology, including the accelerated expansion of the universe, black-hole physics and quantum cosmology. He has also been actively involved in promoting scientific education and has delivered lectures on the origin, evolution and structure of the Universe.
